Role Purpose:

The Activities Facilitator will play a key role in delivering engaging, inclusive, and meaningful activities across both I Am Dylan and Elliot's Place.

The post holder will support individuals to build confidence, improve wellbeing, develop social connections, and access appropriate support services. They will be responsible for facilitating and managing groups, activities, and events, ensuring they are safe, welcoming, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of participants.

The Activities Facilitator will encourage engagement, effectively manage group dynamics, maintain accurate records, and contribute to creating positive and supportive environments where individuals feel valued and respected.

The role will involve working with neurodivergent individuals, men experiencing mental health challenges, and people affected by loneliness, social isolation, suicide bereavement, or suicidal ideation. Through person-centred support and group facilitation, the post holder will help individuals build resilience, confidence, wellbeing, and meaningful connections within their community.

The post holder will also support Empowerment’s commitment to neurodiversity by helping to raise awareness, promote acceptance, and contribute to the development of inclusive practices and resources.
